Jill E. Thomas has been working with OUSD teachers and schools since 2005. After a decade of teaching English, PE, and reading intervention at Life Academy, she supported district principals and school leaders in providing high quality feedback to teachers. She was also a field supervisor and faculty member for OUSD intern teachers through Reach University. Now at The Teaching Well, she bridges a deep understanding of the demands of teacher preparation and early career teaching with mindfulness practices to sustain educators in their careers. Jill co-leads a white racial healing group where white educators come together to unpack their privilege and power, especially as it shows up in schools. You can find her writing on Edutopia, Learning for Justice (formally Teaching Tolerance), and EdSurge.
