Schmian Evans is an educator and minister. In her role as OUSD’s LGBTQ Programming Specialist, she leads professional development sessions and supports LGBTQ programmatic efforts district wide. This includes, but is not limited to, overseeing GSA and Rainbow Clubs, identifying and supporting LGBTQ liaisons at each site, and serving as an advocate and resource for students, families and staff. Despite Schmian's utter awesomeness, her 13-year-old daughter has made clear she wants her nowhere near her school’s GSA for fear of embarrassment.
